We bought ourselves neon bandannas

October 30, 2010

The headline is an example of how to use the word “neon” from the New Oxford American Dictionary. Love it! Sounds like the title of a poem collection. These neon eyes just made my day in so many ways.

Contrary to popular belief, I did not find this artist by googling “pussy”, though the title of these last two pieces are Prince Pussy and Princess Pussy. The tiger is Amba. Great work by Audrey May Erickson.

These boots are made for walking right down underneath the Christmas tree for me, thank you.

And for my birthday I would like a horse to match.

This one is for Eva :)

To me, there is something very peaceful about these photos. Great work by artist Carrie Schneider.

Don’t mess with nature

Mother nature rules and you know it. A member of the Danish Society for Nature Conservation shot these in a Danish forest.

Take your medicine

October 20, 2010

I found these hidden gems in the attic of our family cottage in Norway this summer… Very old and very dusty! Love the poison label in particular.

We bring you loooooove

The new Mothership collection from All for the mountain is their best one to date. As always, their design is inspiring and beautiful and speaks directly to my heart.

If you happen to be on the other side of the planet compared to the Geeks, you can find the new collection in these stores. Or get it online.

Circus as it should be

Romantic and mysterious. Cirkus Schreiber. I found these pictures in a children’s book called “A day with the circus” from 1976.

Knitty times…

October 15, 2010

Knitting is a very versatile craft, you can basically knit anything!! We have already showed the full size knitted ferrari, a knit TV and of cause the more serious wearable knitted sculptures. BUT, here is the burger dress:

Knitted weapons, I want to see war if these were standard equipment on soldiers, would that be a grown up version of a pillow fight?:

And classic icons pictures in little knitted figurines “I’m gonna play with The Beatles today”:

Shiny happy scooter people

October 14, 2010

I can easily imagine the client at the meeting with the advertising agency in 1985 go: “You get more, I SAY MORE, friends by riding our scooter. And I want to be in the picture wearing my new suit. End of discussion.”
